WHOA, the Top wood on this bass is incredible. I'm glad it's over seas and not a fretless or my wife would be getting REAL upset with me.

ouch. if you factor in any discounts that may be out there that seems a little on the high side.

I would guess that more than likely that is the case. In my local area I am seeing alot of instruments and firearms for sale. Some local music stores also have a higher than normal amount of used instruments on consignment.
