The combination of the color  contrast of the incredibly beautiful logo on the dark wood and the bevel really result in a stunning image.  The brass and gold are perfect accents. A true feast for my eyes .

There is something about the peghead bevel that is, for me, the quintessence of Alembic woodworking.  The Omega Crown is especially amazing.

The craziest thing about it, is that even after owning it for a couple of years, and playing it in church a couple times a week, when I see the omega on the headstock, I want to touch it.

Don't forget who started the peghead bevel. Should be named the Rory Bevel but somehow that does not have the same ring as Alembic. All kidding aside I do love what it does for the headstock.

You got the first bevel, Rory?  Heck, I thought it was Al Gore!*  hehehehe

* This is a joke, this is only a joke.  If this had been an actual political comment you would have been notified on the emergency crew Alembic broadcasting system (he says with a very esoteric Dead reference in there).

Look no further than Rory's Coco Bolo Balance K thread under the Factory To Customer section.

Here's one, but I don't think it's the one Bill's thinking of.  I've tried, but I can't find it.

Prior to being The Grateful Dead, the band was The Warlocks.  Prior to that, for their first ever recording session I believe, they were The Emergency Crew.

Ahhh!  I think I've seen video where, while the crew works to fix something, Bobby says something very similar to what you wrote, along the lines of ... if this had been an actual equipment malfunction emergency ...; but I couldn't find it anywhere.

Imagine...  just try, for a moment, to imagine our surprise to find that something's broken over here.  I couldn't quite believe it myself.

I don't get the Gore/bevel reference though.
