Well, that's too bad. The electronics, repairs and refinish would probably cost as much as a used Distillate in good condition. However, if the price stays low, it might be worth buying and sending to Alembic. You would have a nice bass with new electronics and new finish, for a lot less than a new bass. But it would be a bit of a risk; there's no way to know what the top wood looks like, and Alembic could not give you a quote on the work without having the bass in their hands.
