Copyright infringement? Alembic clock

I would expect a clock with an Alembic logo would at least have some wood on it...if not a few layers of choice tonewoods.
 I've seen these with G&L, gibson, etc.
The one I bought honoring 'The Tick' ( a great cartoon series ) is a piece of crap.
