Here's an interesting bass I saw on eBay.  Definitely Alembic inspired.

Yes , I like this one . The holes look correct to convert it to   Alembic Distillate electronics & pickups !   That would be cool !

very nice bass, very nice wood work, more violin inspirated than Alembic, for me.

Looks like volume, tone, 3-way p/up selector, phase, & 2 coil-taps to me.
