So - I've just seen this on eBay.

With a BIN price of $2,500 it would be cheap 2nd hand, let alone new!
 
Smells as fishy as a haddock's bathing costume, to me.

Good news: That bass is on the market. The owner lives in the eastern United States.
 
Bad news: He has no connection to the two or three eBay auctions for that bass.
