According the the Inflation Calculator, my bass has not kept up!
What cost $1065 in 1996 would cost $1464.57 in 2010.
It has, however, paid dividends.

1995 Alembic Epic 5, beautiful mahogany body with maple accent and walnut top. 24-fret ebony fingerboard, black truss rod plate, body matching peghead with brass logo, gold Alembic tuners, two Alembic MXY pickups, volume/pan/treble/bass controls, active electronics, 34 in. scale. Includes soft gig bag.
I am asking $1350. It is in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear on the body.
