I had an F-1X that I bought off of talkbass several (many?) years ago. Sounded fine when it worked! Noise otherwise. Took it to Axtech Electronics in Watertown, MA - they couldn't find anything wrong, but it still didn't work 100% of the time - let it go for free, though that wasn't my original intention. Buyer beware...
