I have 2 old ones like that from the early 1970's . Mine are Alembic. Stars Guitars  also made similar  facsimiles ' of these when they moved  into 60 Brady St. after Alembic relocated.

I visited San Francisco in 1980 to see the Dead and visit some friends. I think went to Stars Guitars.

Stars Guitars moved from Brady St  to 818 Folsom St. in the early 1980's  a few doors down from Modulus Graphite .

So I guess I was there. I was in SF in Oct 80 to see the Dead at the Warfield. I remember a music store that sold Alembic parts and stuff. At that point I had just acquired my first Alembic. It was a birds eye maple Short Scale SI, I think the serial was 74-49. It's around on the forum somewhere.
