Cool old Series II project on EvilBay

That is a unique find to say the least.... Series II with no electronics ever installed? , I think not...
I wonder if there was some special logo idea for the hole in the head? The omega is the same gentle shape as my '76 and interesting that the lacewood back meets in the middle with a little stripe instead of showing the neck through laminates.

Yeah, I wonder if it has a serial number too. And any LEDs.

It's a Series I. It only has 5 neck laminations. If it were a right hander, I'd be all over it.

I think the hole in the headstock is just to be able to hang it on a wall. Who knows, there may be some functional issue that kept it from ever being completed. Still pretty cool!

Wow - that is pretty cool.  Out of curiosity, what would it cost to complete?  It looks like it needs everything.  I'd want a refinish too.  Is that a rosewood fingerboard?

I'd have to guess w/ the shallow omega and single truss rod, this one was started around 75-76. Back then there was no true S1/S2 designation, still w/out a master vol. I'd say this one was destined for the S1 control set.

Looks like lacewood on the back, and purpleheart for the board?!?
