That was a good price, though this caught my eye:

. . . . and I bet 5.4 pounds of it were the EIGHT Schaller M4 keys on that big head.  It looks better this way, but 4 smaller keys for the octave-up strings might have been the smarter way to go.

I saw $2100 on that page,
I was expecting to see it closer to 3,
I gotta get an Alembic 8 someday.

I found one on ebay a couple of years ago just like the one currently available and snagged it for around $3k - good starting bid on the one currently available.  
 
You can see pictures of mine from the recent Texas jam.  It was pretty popular with everyone.
 
Someone needs to grab this at that price - mine makes me smile every time I play it.
