The June Featured Custom is now up, and this is a very cool instrument!!!  I think a number of us can probably relate to the influences that went into this one; and the work that Susan and Mica did on the art is very very cool!  Beautiful guitar!  Congrats Thomas!

Talk about pushing all of the right buttons.  This museum piece is awesome.  The detail is incredible, from the wooden buttons (add this beauty to the sexiest Alembic list) to the body sandwich of Coco Bolo, vermillion, maple and mahogany, to the Mindmeld medallion etc.  Even the Coco Bolo mount for the Roland input jack reaks of perfection. Quite outstanding.  I'd be too afraid to play her she is that gorgeous!

Star Trek and Alembic - two of my most favorite things in the world brought together at last.  How perfect is that?

Though I prefer STNG to TOS......

Most excellent Tribute!  Love the neckthru.

But Next Generation over Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty, Uhuru, Chekov, Nurse Chapel, etc.?  No way!  I could never get past that guy, (Gordy?), wearing a hair band across his eyes. lol

Ah jeez, are we going to get into a Trekker vs Trekkie debate?  This is a great watch for those who are scratching their heads: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120370/

/Play it in good health, or should I say, live long and prosper.

Saw this baby in the shop back in January as well.  It's a really amazing piece to see in person.

Thomas,
It's fitting that  Tributes always evoked the space age with those distinctive horns...now in Star Trek trim it's even more so. What a beautiful guitar. Some where out near the Neutral Zone, Gene Roddenberry is smiling. Even Mr. Worf (my fave character -- Michael Dorn went to my high school) would approve!

One bloody nice guitar!!!!
Ibpesq..it's Geordie(stolen from the accent of the people of Newcastle upon Tyne UK)
How do the people at Alembic cut those intricate inlays??  Do they use a laser cutter or surgical blades?? The detail is outstanding, the finishing is outstanding..I wouldn't dare gig that guitar at all.
