Had this been Cherry burst I'd be tempted.

That's been there for years. They won't come off the $3500 price and it's simply not worth it. Unless you have the irresistible urge to own something of Steves and don't mind over paying for the privilege.

Can't say I'm a major fan of his, though I like what I've heard.I like the idea that they can be had for less than that price though.

I'm a bass player but I'd be seriously tempted by this one.

I wonder if that's a California special. Looks more like a vector body. Perhaps a custom electrum.

I did wonder if the bridge was added after purchase by an owner as the vol knob is right up against the Khaler and also the jack socket is damn close too compared to the California at the top of the thread.

Don't see a CS in the serial number, so it's definately not a California Special. Much sexier body lines too. Didn't do the research, but there's an E in the serial number, so my guess is it's technically an electrum electronics package with custom body. Agree that the jack and volume look too close for the Kahler to be stock.

The vol knob is almost prohibitively close to the bridge. For that reason I feel less aggrieved at not being able to afford it just now.I shall however be back in the Alembic fold in just over a week's time.I never thought it would happen but fate has smiled on me.
