I agree with you 100%. I love the Crest CA series, too. I had a CA9 for a while and it was great. But, I've moved to another department in the same company and play through a Peavey IPR 3000. Still lots of great sound, including some of the best low end I've gotten, and 8 lbs. My McIntosh MC2105, similar in some ways to the MC2300, was my home studio power amplifier for a long time, but it has been recently replaced by a Jim Williams modified Adcom 545 Mk I and the difference is astounding. An amazing sounding amp. It was OK before the mods, but I'd put it up against the sonics of almost any other amp out there and it absolutely slays the Brystons. OK, enough digressions.
