I found this in German ebay http://m.ebay.de/itm/121662704143?nav=SEARCH
Even though I was searching for a 5 string bass this seems too tempting.. What should be a fair price?  Moreover, from the pics it seems to be in a good condition. The serial is like 99ow11938 and if I am correct it is a 1999 bass?

That's a pretty one savuok... looks like a zebrawood top on a mahogany core. 1999 is correct for the year.

Not sure about European pricing... the last few Orion basses I've seen sold between $1500 - $2000 USD, but I think they were all 5-string models, which tend to fetch a little more. Some of our European brothers might advise you better.

The price equates to roughly $770 US. I would say that is an excellent price for a 4 string if everything is in good shape and working order.

Petty sure that price will go way up at the end of the auction, I think it will end somewhere between 1200-1700 Euro.

Yes, I think price will go up to about 1500 Euro. There are usually only few Alembics on Ebay in Germany over the time. Now it seems to be Alembic season:

That ESP Linkshander (left handed) bass looks quite innovative as far as the external power source wiring is concerned.
