1976 Series 1 for sale Suggestions?

Hey All,
I am selling my late husbands 1976 series 1. I have it listed on the Alembic club and ebay. Any other suggestion son where I could list it to find a serious buyer?

I think listing the bass here and eBay are good ideas to get a quick sale.  If you find a forum regular here who is interested, you can feel confident that you have a legit buyer who isn't looking to scam you- this is a small forum of regular users who look after things well.  
 
The series basses can be run on batteries, but most prefer to run them off of the power supplies Alembic makes.  Your husbands bass probably came with a small blue box that serves as the power supply for the bass- do you have that box and the 5pin cable that goes from the bass to the power supply?
 
I think your asking price is a fair starting point.  Series basses range in sales price, so I think you're fine where you sit.  Don't be surprised if you get offers slightly below what you're asking though, as used series basses often sell in the $3500-$4000 range.

Allow me to second everything Toby said, especially the condolances; I would add that more pictures (from various angles/distances)would probably help, as would knowing the scale length (forgive if I assume wrong here, but you don't say that you yourself are a player, and I know my wife would reply to the last with What?!?!, so - measure from the nut - the brass peice near the headstock - to the 12th fret, & double it - that's the scale).  Good luck with your sale; the body shot looks lovely, and if I had funds we'd be talking.
