Are you looking for new, used, or either???  There are not a lot of dealers, but HERE is a list.  You might consider arranging a private purchase while you are in the States.  I'll be in Vegas Sept 5-11... when will you be there???

Hello John, have you checked out Bass People in Annandale NSW?  I think they are an Alembic dealer.  Their website is www.basspeople.com.au
Good luck, the Essence is a great bass.

GREEN SQUARE they may have a great set up but their service to Alembic customers is very piss poor especially if ur in an emergency situation like I was it took a few calls to finally get a return call an by that time i was stressing...things worked out but Green Square never came through....

I had a great experience with David Burgess while living in NZ.  I ended up buying a used bass from the forum, but had several conversations with him about his Alembic stock.  Very helpful and knowledgeable. He has a pretty good podcast too!

There's nobody in Vegas (unless Ed Roman has some used stuff), but there are a few in the LA area (I don't have any personal experience with any of them).

Hey Johno - have you been into Bass People? We normally try to keep 4 - 6 Alembics in stock - although we are down on that at the moment.

How about a custom build? The cost of ordering through Bass People is competitive with the US allowing for freight and GST - plus you get full local support if anything goes wrong. Not bad insurance on such a valuable instrument.

Hey Wylie - I'm really sorry that our service to you wasn't up to scratch. Hopefully you'll bump into some other Aussie Alembicians that will tell you thats not indicative.

Green Square Music is a small family company (sound familiar?) and occasionally things slip through the cracks. For urgent attention its best to either email me (david@greensquare.net) or ring Bass People (02 9516 1975). They are open Tues thru Sat. Matt runs the workshop and he is very familiar with Alembics.
