I like the missing screws from pickup comment. Just shows how little the auctioneer knows about the bass they are selling.

I thought the same.  I get emails from this auction house, and they have some nice stuff, but I haven't bought from it - so not recommending the house, just the bass.  I laughed at the screws comment as well. Thanks for pointing out the issues with the auction though.  Always good to be warned, and careful.

I laughed at the comment about the missing screws as well.  As for the terms of the auction, thanks for noting that.  I get emails from this auction house, because I signed up a couple of years back when they were auctioning off Gram Parsons' acoustic guitar and I needed to sign up to read more about the guitar.  I just lurk - never bought.

They have Jack Bruce's 1970 Gibson EB-3 with the convenient pre-broken headstock feature so beloved by Gibson's accountants.

Ha!  I see they have it listed as in fair condition.  Makes me wonder what it would take to be listed as poor condition!

The buyer's premium seems to be 25%.  Pretty hefty.

That would have made Gram's guitar a mere $27,500.00...pass.
