Hi gang,
I'm playing my Epic with Pickled Beats, doing original tunes at Bobstock tomorrow, Saturday Aug. 16. We go on about 8pm for an outdoor show. Hoping to have some good fun!

Thought I'd just add to this thread rather than start a new one ... Pickled Beats is playing at River Lane in Geneva IL tonight from 9pm to 12:30. The bar is on a street of the same name, just north of Roosevelt (rt. 38) and just west of the Fox River. It should be a good show of originals and classic rock.

Good name! The Pickled Beats. Made me laugh out loud. Obviously, a serious band doing serious music for a serious croud (heh).
Play nice,
David McK.

Thanks David,
BEATS is an acronym of our players last names: Belniak, Eastwood, Addyman, Thomson, and Szymanski. Our website is starting construction.
Happy Birthday Steve Thomson,

Pickled BEATS returns to River Lane in Geneva IL on Friday Jan. 31 from 9 pm to 1 am. We play a mix of originals and covers. I'll be bringing my new fretless Epic and my '81 Distillate. Here's some pics from our show last Nov.

Pickled BEATS plays out again! We're at a small club, Yahoo on Gary Ave. in Carol Stream this Friday from 9-12. I'll have both of my Epics on the gig.

And Here they are:
The Maple cutie is lined fretless and has side LEDs and a drop D tuner.

hey Mike, please tell me you don't like the LED's on your Epic, I want LED's on my next Alembic so bad, I can taste it, after 40 my eye's started going bad and it's hard to see the neck. My next Alembic WILL have LED's
David T (alembic76407)
PS; Love the name of your band

Hi David,
Thanks for the compliment. Sorry, but I LOVE the side LEDs! They help quit a bit, since I'm still learning to play fretless (practice, practice, practice). Heck, I'm still learning to play anything!

I'll be playing in two bands at Bobstock Saturday Aug. 16th this year. Pickled BEATS will do a one hour set of mostly originals. Ragweed will do a one hour set of mostly Dead cover tunes. Entry fee is $10 and proceeds go to the N. Illinois Make A Wish Foundation. 4 other bnads will play as well.
