Who's Next 8/13/04
« on: July 30, 2004, 08:10:11 AM »
I got a call from Bill Canell of Who's Next. Seems as though their bassist has a schedueling conflict. I was asked to do a 1 - 1 1/2 hour show at Hogs & Heifers (Uptown) New York City on 8/13. That's just a short 4.5 hour drive from DC so...why not! Who's Next is the ultimate Who tribute band. These guys really rock. Check out their website. If you're in the area, drop in. I'll be using my newly refinished (pics to come) Stanley Delux that I got from Ed Orr (AKA Oggydoggy) in a trade.

Hi again.  Well, my wife and I made the drive to NYC (from the DC area) for the show at Hoggs & Heifers with Who's Next. We also drove back after the show.  Hogs & Heifers is truly a unique little iron workers, biker bar  The crowd was very much into the music.  Anyway, Who's Next really lit the place up. I can't say enough about playing with these guys. They really embody the spirit of The Who.

Here's a pic of my SC Delux on her maiden voyage after being refinished by the good folks at Alembic. Yes, I borrowed some knobs from my Brown Bass. I'll be calling Roger at THG knobs soon.
