First gig of the new german WHO tribute: WHO ARE YOU
« on: September 22, 2005, 02:14:05 PM »
Dear friends,
after a longer time of strong rehearsal we are proud to announce that we will do our first non-official gig with our new WHO tribute WHO ARE YOU on saturday  November 12th.
We will do this as an un-official party and we want to play in front of friends and interested people.
So everyone who is interested please send me a mail to: senmen@web.de and you will get an invitation.
We are doing this un-official as we want to do this as a test gig and of course want to hear the opinion of our friends and interested people.

Hope to see you all..... :-)

Many greetings and see ya
Oliver Baumann (Spyderman)

Ollie,

Where's the band's website then?  Since I can't be there, I would love to see photos and hear some audio clips!

Best of luck at your 'launch party'!

Oliver,

Great set list, I hope it goes well. From my 4-gig Who tribute experience, I found it's great to record shows on video and audio. If you can arrange to get some or all of it on digital media, we'd love to see/hear it!

Holy Cow, would I LOVE to be able to play a 20-song set!!!

We always get rushed on and rushed off to accommodate a 5-band bill.  Usually how it is out here....so friggin many bands.

Let us see some visuals/audio when you can, Oliver.  I'm obviously VERY curious!

Cheers and best of luck - Mike

In our brief Who careen (4 shows - 3 paid and 1 freebie), we played about 25 songs each night: Summertime Blues, Shakin' All Over, Tattoo, My Generation, almost all of Tommy, Substitute, Bargain, Behind Blue Eyes, Won't Get Fooled Again, and Love Reign O'er Me. I got voted down on a few more - mostly JAE compositions. Playing a full show of Who stuff is nothing short of amazing.

Hi Guys,
I start to get nervous. Our first gig ever with our tribute to the Who WHO ARE YOU is coming close. Next week saturday November 12th to be exactly.
We have changed the setlist a bit and now we also found a great violin player to join us on Baba.
Here is the new and definite setlist:

Overture
Substitute
I?m free
Pinball Wizard

Who are you
Relay
I?m one
We?re not gonna take it

I can?t explain
My generation
Rough boys

Heart to hang onto (acoustic)
Mary Anne with the shaky hands (acoustic)
905 (acoustic but we me playing the 8-string !)

Trick of the Light (of course again the 8-string)
Behind Blue Eyes
You Better you Bet
5:15 (Solo for me.....)
Won?t get fooled again

Encore:
Baby o?Riley (with violin)
Give Blood
The Real Me

We will not do The Quiet One as I am not ready to
sing it at the moment.....

Attached plse find a small(unfortunately blurry)
picture of me in the rehearsal room.

Go get 'em Oliver! And to get rid of the nervousness, do what John did - tape 2 water bottles to your mic stand and fill them with your favorite brandy and such!

Your setlist and acoustic/electric/8-string/violin breakdown look great. What are you doing on the 5:15 solo?

Hello, Oliver !

Great set & great photo. You really look satisfied. Thank you for the invitation, I will definetely be there to hear and see the earsplitting thunderstorm that you will unleash !
Unfortunately, my wife can not attend due to some changed private circumstances. I'll drop you a line later...

All the best,
Speicky
