Something I always liked about Alembic is it's presence in a band, the sound never gets muddy and is always pushing through all other frequencies. Even with the horns in front of me I still get a very clear, solid sound.

Looks like a great gig Manfred, i've always wanted to play with a horn section. I wouldn't mind playing with the backing vocalists either ;-)
What kind of music are you playing?

Yes it was great indeed. Both the horns and the backing girls. We are always having a lot of fun when playing with this lineup. We did have some replacements. Our guitarplayer is suffering a major lung disease while the girl on the right is replacing Diana who delivered a new band member, I mean, baby boy last saturday. She?s the one who did some of these Alembic art things I started a thread about somewhere else. She?s singing backing in this band and lead in my other bands.

This time we played a lot of 60?s early 70?s stuff. In the style of Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Sly Stone and some other stuff but we want to spice it up a little more, just a bit more funkier. Which is great when playing with a hornsection.

Looks like lots of fun.  Sort of like the Dutch Commitments, given the size and material.  And your lead singer looks like an Aaron Neville devotee!
