I currently have a : 1992 4 string long scale custom bass  Macassar Ebony top  purpleheart pinstripe  maple body  maple/purpleheart neck  Ebony fretboard  Elan body shape  Solid construction  Silver plated Hardware  Chrome Alembic tuners  Series II electronics  No bridge block  Silver logo   And It was in was in a horrible mishap. I got thrown. Here are some pictures of this bass  and I would REALL REALL like to see about getting it repaired regardless of the cost it's more of a sentimental value to me considering that I have had it for 20 years. ANd I blacked out from a medical condition and I don't remember do this to this fine interment. I just want to know if it can be repaired . Money is no object to a certain degree. I LOVE this bass and I feel SOOOO bad for doing this to it. SO if you can PLEAS PLEASE help me out.  Thank you, Paul atkins  Mica If you could give me some kind of general estimate or or at least tell me that It can't be fixed I would really appreciate it. here are some of picture of It taken a cell phone.

Paul, sorry to hear about your mishap. But we're kind of jaded, seems like this happens to member keavin's bass (serial #12) every other year, and he posts pictures every time. He also glues it back together himself, so definitely repairable.

Alembic can do a splice at the break, seen some past ones and they are top notch repairs,you could do it yourself but you would need to rebuild a headstock, have the necessary clamps and have the alignment perfect..best leave it to the experts

As has been stated, it's definitely repairable. From what I understand, the neck joint is actually designed in a manner that makes it break in a way that makes it easier to repair, since it's such a common injury. It won't be dirt cheap, but it probably won't be crazy expensive. Mica and crew will get it sorted out.

I'm pretty confident Mica and the team at Alembic  can bring some life back into that baby. Probably best to give her a phone call rather than wait for a response on the forum. At least you can provide her more information to back  up the pictures so that she can assess the work needed for repair.
 
If the head can't be repaired successfully, then there is the option of cutting out the old neck and having a new through neck made and the bass reconstructed around that.
A costly option I'm sure but I'm certain i've read that method used by Alembic on a thread here in the past.

No worries.  If it's done at the Mother Ship you probably won't even be able to tell.  I can't hear any difference in mine and you can barely see the splice.

I totally agree on alembic doing the repairs. But I am missing a piece from the front of the headstock can that be replaced. This instrument is my pride and joy so I want it don't as perfect as it can be and another thing it is missing a few frets as well. i Have a medical condition call dissociate disorder and I have NO recolection of thawing the thing across the room. Nor do I have a reason of why i did it I just hate my self for doing it. ANother casualty was my 2002 gibson thunder bird and a B.C. rich widow.  I take medication for this but it just happened and it was a very very expensive night. WOuld any of you have any idea ballpark figure something like this would cost?? is it going to be in the thousands? thank you everyone for the replays and help..

They'll most likely graft-on an entirely new headstock and it will look and play like new.
