Anyone got a Rogue in Chicago?
« on: August 17, 2011, 07:09:13 AM »
Hey all,

I'm interested in putting my hands on a Rogue to see how it feels compared to my Epic. I have an Epic, but the body shape doesn't quite sit right for my tastes (see my recent post for more detail). In that post, someone mentioned that a Rogue might be a better fit for me. Before I start selling gear to fund a Rogue, I'd like to test one out to see if the body shape works for me.

So . . .

Does anyone have one, and is willing to meetup to let me check it out?

Alternatively, has anyone seen one in a shop around town?

I was at the Alembic gathering a couple of years ago, but didn't try out a Rogue then. Oh, the things I wish I knew when I was younger.

Anyhow, feel free to correspond either here or to email address in my profile.

Thanks,

Joe

Joe,

Maybe go back through the Chicago gathering thread and look through the posts from the people who were there.  Lots of users include email addresses in their profile.  Perhaps you could fire off a few emails or looking at the pictures might jog your memory?  Good luck!

Isn't it kind of dangerous to get that many awesome instruments in the same room?  Like how the President and Vice President can never fly on the same plane.  Imagine the loss to humanity if something were to have happened.

right you are, Kevin... that's the REAL reason why I showed up without my basses. But, in return, they wouldn't let me in, and I had to watch the front door for any mean characters to enter

Chicago was fun time, meeting up with a bunch of afficionados, already known or previously unknown, lunch at Durrty Nellie, pyjama party at the Holiday's Inn... aarg, no details

now back to our regularly scheduled search for a Rogue. I spy Loch Miwa's 5-string bocate Rogue in Keavin's post, second row, second left, but I remember vaguely that he sold the bass... he and others may chime in shortly with VALUABLE information

have a fine time, Christian

Sorry, I no longer have either of the Rogues at the left end of that row. Instead I have the Series II at the right end of the same row!

I would definitely suggest trying one out as I really liked the way they feel. That extended upper horn put it in the perfect position for me.

ouch, my bad... nice upgrade, Loch !
My Rogue 5 34 is fitting best, but I like Bridget, my medium-scale Spoiler even more... she's got just four strings
