Seismic Sue goes public in Wiesbaden/Germany
« on: December 06, 2007, 01:38:27 PM »
Hello, folks,  finally, the band that I joined last year had their first public stage appearance with yours truly in late October. It was another charity gig for disabled children here in Wiesbaden. The other three cats are quite experienced, playing together for years. Here are some humble shots:

We started at about 10pm, played two sets each containing ten songs, and played an encore past 2am with another seven... it was a blast. Party after the party lasted til six, going to bed for a second, getting up again at 9:30 to gather the equipment together and put it back in the rehearsal room, and then party again til the cows come home... jeeze, I am getting too old for those weekends !  Christian  PS: There'll come the day I manage to lift up photos of Sue in the showcase section, Olie & Mike ;-)

It looks like your shirt has a picture of Peggy on it.

Nice action shots!  Although a picture of that bass in a guitar stand would be an action shot!

Ein, zwei, zoofa! Party 'til six, eh? Not the sedate family man that dined on the patio...

I've got to be honest with you, Christian. The bass is too small for you. You should have left it at my house.

Ganz toll Christian!
I really love to be on stage and play live!
OK... it CAN be exhausting but it's good food for the mind!
That bass is really something! And -HOORAH- no pointed headstock (hehehehehehe)

Great pix Christian, but man that stage looks a little tight. Not much room for moving.

That is one fine looking bass too!.

Thank you all for your kind words.

Doc: yes, it is the t-shirt that I had made in 2005 when I first found the double-neck online at G-Guitars and I had no idea that it was the John-Judge-bass. I still had no idea when the bass came to me in December 2005 and I named her Peggy :-)

Dave: thank you very much, LOL !

Mike: you are probably right, the bass IS too small for me. But didn't I actually forget this incredible JPJ triple omega when Junior and I visited you in October ? Maybe one of your girls has stored it away in the closet... don't worry, I'll come back and get it back from you ! ouch ;-)

Paul: thanks for the bad comments :-) I love the Elan-shaped peghead, too, and I love to be on stage, every once in a while. And when it is for charity, I love it even more.

Graeme: thank you, but your basses also have a mighty impression on me. Perhaps we can have a European gathering sometime next year, that would be fun times ten, I'm sure.

Olie: yes, the stage dimensions were tight. Actually, I had the most space, standing in front of the two guitarists. Next year, I am forced to also sing, so I may not be able to jump around like a bouncing ball...

have a nice weekend, stay tuned, I hope to hear from you soon.

Christian
