Yeah, I'm still playing the Hyak - I recently had it set up and put in new Seymour Duncan SHPR-1 pickups - very cool pups that split from humbucker to single rail AND/or p90s - haha, almost too many tonal options but I love it.

I went to see Art's band, Fifty Year Flood, today.  It was an outdoor event, and Art's band was the first band to play.  The crowd was very appreciative of the band, and the band had fun playing.  Everything was mic'ed through a PA that had only two small full range speakers mounted on poles.  Surprisingly for such a system, the bass sounded great and was consistently perfectly placed in the mix throughout.  In fact it was the only thing perfectly placed in the mix throughout.  Fortunately for those of us who like hearing the bass, while he was moving the sliders up and down on everything else, the soundman got the bass perfect from the start and left it alone.

One thing that helped was Art's new rig which debuted this show.  In two separate acquisitions, Art picked up an Eden Metro 210 XLT and an Eden 210 XST.  It sounded great; beautiful tone and consistent up and down the neck, and perfect for the type of music this band plays.  And Art's playing was superb.  His lines were very nice, and were often the highlight of many of the tunes.  Art had his Hyak out for this gig, and it sounded great combined with the new rig.

Unfortunately, the second band turned out to be something I couldn't listen to; so I had to leave what was otherwise a very pleasant outdoor event in West Asheville.  But Art's band was an enjoyable part of a nice Sunday afternoon!

Dave, Thanks for coming out today to see us play and for the kind words in your review! We all had a good time at the show and I appreciate your support.  I am enjoying my first exposure to Eden gear with these fine instruments. All the best, Art
