Dave, I don't know what kind of pedalboard the guitar player was playing through. But he was really, really smooth and was likely the leader (or ranking officer) in that he was definitely in charge. I think he was playing a PRS or it may have been a Schecter. What really got my attention was that they were warming up with Steeley Dan's 'Peg'.
We needed a 'warm' celebration of Spring in that our area of the country has lost a whole lot of jobs in recent years, that have not been replaced, and they weren't that good a jobs to start with. It was a special feeling to see all of the little kids, about 8 years old and younger, out in front of the band dancing their little hearts out.
We live in a pretty poor part of the country, monetarily speaking, but we make up for it in many other ways. Tennessee may be a red state but our area of Northwestern Middle Tennessee is as Blue as any part of the country. Oh, and on St. Patty's day we are all quite Green.
