What a flashback... second one this morning. It's weird how the Phil Collins solo stuff gets melded into the Genesis around the same time in my head, but it's just a product of that's what was on FM radio back in the late 80's and early 90's. 

Naturally I was curious. My first guess was it was Mike Rutherford playing the bass part this cat rather skillfully covered. Wrong. It's a Phil Collins record, and his go-to guy was (like everyone else in the known universe) Lee Sklar. If you ever get the answer on a Jeopardy Daily Double about a bass player's line, the question is: Alex, who is Leland Sklar? Your chances are exponentially better.
