Bought this Alembic EvH Signature bass about a month ago. New bass always means new composition for me. "Extreme Volcanic Heat". This is a piece in five parts showcasing some of the sounds that can be achieved with this bass, using several playing techniques. Slap with both pickup mixed, clean bass solo with bridge pickup and filter/Q-switch, chords favoring bridge pickup and distortion bass solo favoring neck pickup.

It also has a small tapping part on my Fender USA The Urge 1 Stuart Hamm bass.
Meanwhile the EvH is now in tenor tuning because I am going to sell The Urge bass.
I also have a Spoiler bass. Below also a picture of both basses and one of the back of the EvH.

Thanks guys. Yes really like this body style. Seems like a hybrid between a small body model and the later Distillate model with the slightly longer upper horn. It balances really well.

The second EvH model looks really different more modern, a bit like a Rogue. Also nice but I prefer the more classic look of the first model.

I was not sure where to post it. Didn't want to start a new topic so I'll post it here. Would be cool if we had a special Alembic video thread where users can post their videos or videos from other bands or players that have an Alembic bass in it. Don't think there is such a thing yet?

But anyway, made a new video with my fairly recently acquired Alembic EvH bass. Using several different pickup and filter sounds in this track called "5-5-5-3" For the intro I used a Fender The Urge 1 bass (in piccolo tuning) which I sold recently. And using my fretless Vigier Surfreter guitar. Hope you like it!

There is, but I don't see what difference it makes... your EvH thread works just fine.

I looked at that thread but thought it was focused more on members gigs and live streams.
I was thinking more along a thread for all YouTube videos related to Alembic. Say you like a certain performance of Stanley Clarke you can post it in that thread or if you find an Alembic bass demo or anything else related to Alembic. Don't think there is such a thing? Would be cool though. But maybe there is no interest in that?

Thanks Delano. I accidentally answered in the other thread. Yes that's what I mean. But I would prefer to do this inside this forum and not on Facebook because there is also the other Alembic FB group and maybe not all forum members have FB?

Yes maybe I will start a new thread. Only not sure where to put it.
