Missy Giove, haven't heard that name in awhile...I'm an old mountain biker...

😠😠 😤 fuming 😤I was on my way to rehearsal last night and joined the M5 North off the M42 just before they closed the slip road to allow a royal motorcade with King Charles and Queen Camilla who were travelling along under police protection but so bloody slow.... They were doing about 40mph in the outer lanes so I waited and waited hoping they would move over or speed up, but they didn't.. I was already running late due to earlier hold ups and got impatient put my foot down and used the inside lane to pass them at about 70.

 Just as I passed them I got followed by one of the royal police outrider as I turned off at the next junction. He told me that I had broken the law by illegally undertaking and  wrote me a dangerous driving ticket, which could give me find and 3 penalty points on my currently clean driving licence.. I asked "why?" 

He said it's because I saw you "pass the duchy pon the left hand side.."

Their Majesties were here in Virginia recently. They didn't venture down to my town, but it so happens my younger sister's husband works for the State Police, and is the area 1st Sgt. Anytime a motorcade, for large funeral, or dignitaries foreign or domestic pass through, he's the guy who sees that those slip roads (we call them exit ramps) are closed and secured. I'll see to it your charges are cleared here in the Old Dominion. 😉
