Title: Price of a refinish in 2026? Sterling/MOP/abalone inlay upgrade cost?
Post by: darkstar on April 24, 2026, 11:19:12 AM
Has anyone inquired about the cost of a refinish recently? Also curious of the cost to upgrade to an inlaid silver logo with rays, MOP and abalone? Would Alembic upgrade the logo on older models (not 70's...I would never do that...I'm talking upgrading the logo on say anything made after 2000)?

I had an inlay logo installed on my 1996 Classico in 2017.  The headstock had chips in the veneer so needed to be replaced. It was reasonably priced for 2017.

Curious did they replace the entire headstock? Or just the veneer?

Just the forward facing veneer. Did a fantastic job matching the grain / color 21 years after completion.

Just send me an email with your ideas and I'll get you a quote for your particular instrument.
