Rob posted this one for someone who is looking. I thought there was already a thread, but don't see one. This one's a Spoiler, medium-scale, and got some artwork. (I tee'd it up for you BeenDown)

*For some reason, I swear the cover picture with the bass posed in a stand on the table is VERY familiar. I have seen this before. Maybe not this bass, but this picture is definitely a deja-vu. Can't place it.

I believe this seller also had the Roman Conquerer for sale. That's maybe the connection? If not the RQ, then another Alembic discussed here...

yeah, this has been in at least two different threads so far.  looks like it sold.  go figure.  i found this part particularly entertaining:
Been down...now i'm out!

Just to put myself out there.  I bought this bass off Reverb.  I had a pristine Exploiter in the early 2000s, which I stupidly sold.  I've missed it ever since.

It's an '84.  This bass isn't mint, but it's in very good condition and sounds and balances amazingly well.  The top is beautiful to me, despite the decal. The decal doesn't really bother me, but do realize it affects its value.  (Whenever someone sees this bass, they're likely to think of Entwistle regardless.)  That's ok, because I don't plan on ever selling it unless.  It's a player bass for sure.

I had a nice chat with Mica about it yesterday.  We discussed its history, possible need for an RF upgrade, and the refin options.  I also had a nice email exchange with Pat Wilkins.  The cost of a refin and shipping from the East Coast just don't make it worth it to me.  YMMV.  Love the bass and it quirks and happy to have an Alembic again.

Ken, glad you got 'back on the train'!

"Player bass", that's what my Distillate is and she has a few dings and dents.  Also never being sold, going to my son and have a good feeling about grandson Oliver being next in-line. ♥️
