Just saw this Emerald Green Europa 6 that was posted here a ways back and then demoed recently by Trevor Lindsey:  https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/msg/d/seattle-alembic-string-europa-bass/7931577156.html
I suspect that this is a scam.  Let me know and I'll flag the post.

That bass made me wish I played a 6er! Beautiful and unique. It sold on Reverb 2 weeks ago for $3867 out of Oregon.

That's a very nice one. Since I am also a six string bass player I feel tempted. What is the string spacing on these 6-string Europe basses? Don't like more than 16,5mm spaced 6-string basses.

But you say it is probably a scam? price is too good to be true. Must have missed it on Reverb although I watch almost every day.

It is a scam.  I am sitting here with the bass in hand right now, and it is definitely not for sale.  Please report that dude.

Thank you!!  I flagged that ad just now.

So what is the string spacing exactly on a six string Europe?

The string spacing at the bridge is usually set up so there is 15 mm of space between each pair of adjacent strings. On a 6 string bass, between the B and E string, the center-to center spacing would be 18 mm, between G and C that goes down to 16 mm. At the nut, the strings are spaced conventionally, at 9 mm.If the instrument was ordered with classic taper, the bridge and nut would be slightly narrower.

Ok thanks. I would expect the string spacing on a six string Alembic to be smaller because the string spacing on a 4 string is already small. I prefer small spacing on my six string basses. I have one with 14 and 15mm. Biggest I have is my Ken Smith burner with 16,5mm. But I prefer 14 or 15mm. But that is hard to find.
