I think in this case it that means, you accept the neck dive and find a way to play it, and enjoy it.

My series short scale has neck dive and when i bought it had a dunlop straplock on the upper half of the body like this.
Whilst the neck dive is less using that point, i had got used to the way these basses naturally behave on a strap from a previous bass  so i put a standard schaller locking peg in the normal place and stuck with it.

That 'might' help with a longer scale small body bass.
Interestingly my Koa shorty does not dive past horizontal.

Very beautiful! is that a maple top? How do feel about the pickup selector is in the way when slapping? Does it bother you or is it not so bad?

Yes, quite bland by Alembic standards of today but I like it.  Yes the pick up selector does get in the way and I am waiting for stock of the non pointed switches so I can change it.
I don't do a lot of slapping and the way the bass hangs, I think my thumb hits the strings just in front of the neck pickup over he truss rod cover and my fingers pop the strings between the pickups close to the neck pickup.

But yes I do hit my fingers on it occasionally.
