That sound takes me back to the late 70's and one of my first soul bands as a young guitarist starting out with a band of seasoned musicians. The singer we had at the time was highly influenced by Wilson picket and all those, what I used to call, the screaming singers from that time.
 He used to do the James Brown dance moves drop down on his knees etc. He was a great front man and powerful singer. I remember thinking how old he was when I found out he was 38!! hahah.

I love this track. Their album live at Wesleys Road has that track and gets regular time through my stereo these days. I had a conversation with their bass player on FB when I was unable to order some of their albums off their web site. Nice guy and awesome bass player.

The first guy I did sound for full-time was ancient.
 I'd been with him a little over a year when I threw him a 33 1/3 birthday party.........

Worked for a band that did "Midnight Hour", too.
