I saw 7 on that list who I would consider to be candidates for it.

But hey - at least they have Tina Weymouth in there.........  ???

What does 'greatest' even mean? Without a subjective category to measure by, to me it's meaningless.
Without that I suspect it's mostly based on personable favourites. ::) :o

I saw a thread on Talkbass this morning where the mods have actually made a new rule banning threads with these lists. Which I find even funnier than compiling the lists themselves. On the other hand, that place is Lord Of The Flies most days and I'd hate to be a moderator there.

They did narrow the parameters of this one to "rock bassists" which I think probably bumps a few of our general favorites from consideration. I didn't see McVie, so I clicked the back button, and made a little sound of disapproval. I mean... arguably one of the most instantly recognizable bass lines in the history of rock. No mention. Denied. Pfft. 😐
