I have tried several times to post JPEGs since this new web format that has been utilized, but alas, no mater how small I make the files I get an error message that it is too large, even if i it is small, relative to the former format. What am I doing wrong? I had no problems on the old format. I need to learn the new procedure. LOL! Help please   

   I get this every time I attempt to post a JPEG, no matter how small. "The message exceeds the maximum allowed length (20000 characters)."
I would be grateful for guidance to get it correct.

Just had the same issue.   The part that I missed was to Click, on the text that says Click or Drag.   When I 'dragged' I got the same 20000 character message.

Dave helped:
At the top of this page, click on Reply.

Type some text in the text box.

Click below the text box where it says "click or drag files here to attach them".

This opens file explorer in windows; I don't know what it's called on an I-pad.

Navigate to where your picture is on your I-pad.

Click on your picture and then click on Open. (Again, I don't know Apple nomenclature.)

A large thumbnail of the picture will show up below the text box.  (If it's too big, a warning message will appear instead.)

Click post.
