Just sharing a strange English tradition of chasing a cheese down a ridiculously steep hill.

I watched one year... looks like fun. Jazzyvee have you ever attended in person?

When my wife and I were in Alaska last summer we camped in a campground that turned out to be near a big July 4 tradition. They launch old cars off a cliff and spectators below watch them crashing down the side of the mountain to the river bank below. They claim to clean up and recycle everything but I have my doubts. Event is called the Glacier View Car Launch and is quite popular. The cheese rolling is way less destructive to the environment. We didn't go anywhere near the car launch but every other campsite where we were staying did.

No I haven't attended, maybe because i've never looked ahead of time to find out when the date is so only find out on the day.

It hurts to watch, don't it?! 🤣 I love me a grilled cheese but I ain't tumblin' off a grassy hill for it! 🤕

On some level though, I kinda' admire that this contest may have been going on in some form for several centuries. 🇬🇧
