Hi fellow Alembic players in the Northwest and all over the world. I am a relative newbie, just got my Alembic Essence around 2019, and because of my age and economics I have decided to sell this absolutely beautiful bass to someone who will use it. So I tried to put it up for sale on the for sale site here , but I am having real problems attaching pics, I keep getting the message that only 1 image is way too  large and I have to keep starting over . can anyone lend a hand?? Thanks,
Peace, DAcat51

Hey there Russell, yes... there is a size limit on pictures. You'll need to resize the big one to less than the max of 1 KB. That's still pretty big.

Go ahead and post your thread, we'll talk you through it.

Ahem Greg means 1Mb.  :D
One easy way to reduce the size is to send it to yourself as an email. Many email apps/ clients will give you the opportunity so send the image as a smaller file size, (a thowback from a times when email attachments were not as generous as now), select the new size then send.
Then open your email, and save the image to your device with a different file name.

As long as it's under 1mb. You should then be able to upload it to the forum.
The sound of Alembic is medicine for the soul!

Thanks Alembic members,  I am just now in the process of trying to download a compression  app that will reduce the size of my pics. Also, does anyone else have trouble figuring out the trick letters??
Peace,

Hi @DAcat51

The trick letters challenge is only for the first five posts that you make, and in general it helps to keep the bots from attempting to interfere.

Happy posting!

Well, I have an app now that will greatly reduce the size of my pics, and they are now in a photo file on my Mac, but my problem is how to trans for them to the Alembic page without something weird happening like it did on my for sale post  a few minutes ago. LOL!
