NGB is still causing sonic trouble (just like I like it). We're returning to Poor Boys, 283 Montgomery Road,
Montgomery, IL 60538-1653 this Saturday, Dec. 4th. We'll be doing two long sets. No cover charge and this is our second show in this friendly club south of Aurora.

It's sitting on a On Stage stand. It looks weird because I had my amp rack sitting on the floor in front of the stand, propped up on it's front cover so I could see the tuner. Poor Boys is a no-stage, set up on the floor by the front door kinda club. The setup is narrow, but the owner and crowd are friendly and supportive.

The Noah Gabriel Band will be playing a New Years Eve gig at the House Pub, 16 S. 1st Ave. in St. Charles, IL. We're doing our typical two long sets with reduced hardware in this small club.

Now, now this should be a HAPPY occasion, with no bickering or quarrels over who concussed who. Truly the Bears have been lucky on the injury front this season.

Have fun with your gigs this weekend, Pauldo. I'm sure we'll both be watching Sunday afternoon for some fearless football on the frozen tundra.

Hi Graeme,
NGB was started with the fretless as a production choice on his first CD in 2001, and it's pretty much stayed there ever since. I've used my fretted Epic a few times (1 or 2 songs). I also use it for another band I'm in - Friends of Fife (still in rehearsal / recording mode). The Distillate mostly goes into the studio nowadays, although I'd like to bring it back out and maybe will this spring. In two weeks we start rehearsals for Rock N Roll Rewind 2011 this summer in Dubuque.

Thanks for the reply Mike. Interesting coincidence - the 2 guitarists in Big Tuna are both based in the Scottish 'kingdom' of Fife although we try not to hold that against them ;-)

In Illinois terms, Friends of Fife refers to Don Knotts character Barney Fife from the old Andy Griffith TV show of the 1960s.

I haven't gotten updated on times or cover charge as of yet, so watch for more info...
