After years of reading about Alembics and wishing and thinking maybe some day, it finally happened. A couple weeks ago I visited Alan Dover in NC after corresponding for a couple months. He offered his Spyder (No. 7 or 50) to me as he has a custom Spyder being built by Alembic.
I came home with Spyder and she constantly amazes me with her sound range. My other basses that I still have all sound good in their own right, but Spyder is just fabulous. My other basses are: Fender Precision Lite, Line 6 Variax Four and a B.C. Rich Mockingbird Heritage.
This coming weekend will be my first job with her. Really looking forward to it!
