Oh, also I am obsessed with GRASSHOPPER track 6 that you did with Wayne Johnson Trio
I took your advice and followed my ears and heart more than following the rules of theory. What I found is that the theory follows regardless but the personality is up front.
The fact that the advice was from you made it worth so much more to me. Not to sound corny, but I feel liberated. Now I can use both my heart and what I learned in music class to be a better player. Plus I play all the time, as well, too as you suggested I do.
