Quite possibly the most beautiful Alembic I've ever seen, and the slimmed down body is perfect.  Majestic.
 
Since you asked, I believe it should have oval inlays to finish the classic Alembic look, but the board can certainly stand on its own.  I suggest you pose that same question to Susan and follow her preference.

With the wood you have for that fretboard, I'd keep it as clean as possible, just go with side markers (bad enough you put frets in it :-) If you really want inlays, I'd keep them as simple as possible, since there is already so much going on with the various woods. Maybe even something really weird, like ebony circles...

Holy smokes, that is one stunning bass!  It's a particular inspiration to me 'cause I'm planning on ordering my second custom soon -and it will have several similar features including (hopefully) a coco bolo top, but most definitely a neck with purpleheart, maple, mahogany, and ebony in it.
 
Yeah, it's A+s all across the board... top, back, neck and shape.  Speaking of which, that's a custom shape, right?  It looks sort of like a cross between the new Balance K and the older series basses...

Not an expert, but it looks like a custom body Balance Point bass.  But the upper horn looks a little longer then previous Balance Point basses.  And the body looks a little smaller then std body size, but it does look larger then 3/4 body size.

I agree with the gang that you should either leave the fingerboard alone -or consider a minimalistic alternative like single SMALL dots for position markers... of either MOP or possibly a slightly contrasting wood...

I'd be really keen to know and also to know what tones/sounds this combination will give.
