Pierre-Yves,

That was one of my concerns-- and the fatmanchu hides some of that, visually.  The slender bird isn't truly on-center, and I'm trying to decide whether I can ignore that or if it'll bug me.

It may not be clear from the pictures, but the fatmanchu mockup is actually much larger than the final piece would be.  I'm hoping to get a thinner mockup, and maybe we'll hold another poll.

Flax, nice try .  Although I do like the tailpiece on the wolf, it isn't the look I'm going for.

To me, the fat manchu echoes the omega too much. If you don't like the bird, why not see what a bar tailpiece would look like?

I second the bar, and nominate a regular bird for your consideration, as well.

OK, so I'm a weirdo, but I'm down with the fat one - probably more so if were, as you indicate it will be, slimmed slightly.  Under no circumstances would I put a straight bar by that graceful omega curve.  I eagerly await a look at Fatmanchu MK II.

Voting begins anew.

Thin bird, or Fatmanchu Mk. II?

I should add, the fatmanchu is going to be slimmed further on the omega side (by about 1/8th inch or 3mm).

Thin is in!

However, it'll be a great bass whichever way you go. Enjoy!
