If this is the fingerboard, I can't wait to see what the rest of the bass will turn out like! After a fingerboard like this you know the rest of the instrument will have to be some kind of looker!

Sometimes looking is a choice. Ask your girlfriend/wife about that one. In any event, thanks for thinking of looking. If you are single, disregard all of the above.

Fingerboard is in place and the peghead is cut:

Chip also pointed out the stack of wood that will be the top, back, and plates the body:

WOW...this is impressive! What happened to the redwood? This looks like walnut. This is just a color correction glitch, right?
Amazing and thanks for de update.

Lams getting their bookmatch to center glue action:

Yes, sanding the wood can make it look less lovely. I especially notice it with the Maples. Also, the lighting is different in each shot. The one from the 10th is taken pretty late at night with only the overhead shop lights. It will look much sweeter with the clear coats.

I don't think I've ever seen this step in any past postings; At least not like this. Great shots! Fass-in-ate-in... as Popeye would say.

This getting awful pretty.  David, I *BEG* you to be careful when you receive the bass.  That 12 string headstock looks awfully long and I'd hate to see this bass go back to Alembic for headstock repair!

Here's a nice picture:

It's the stack of all your continuous wood plates clamped between polycarbonate sheets awaiting their next step. It looks like a flower. A  big woody, gluey, clampy flower.
