That is sure gonna be one dramatic looking bass with that slab of CB on the top.

More good news! Here's your bass in the big clamps:
And out of the big clamps, with some rough shaping:
There's that little stripe of Vermilion:
Plus some scraps I found that must surely be from your bass:

Wow... after the wait, that first picture of an assembled and shaped body would bring a tear to my eye. Heck, when I saw it I got a bit choked up!

Those scraps would make excellent boxes. I love your choices. Can't wait to see the rest!

Very nice, This will really be Awesome when done .______ I wonder if there has ever been a 34 inch scale version of an Alembic bass with this kind of Violin shape ? I have wondered that before. Kind of like a Gibson EB-1 shape but built Alembic style with a neck through design with Series Electronics . You could wear it on a strap . Fretless as well ____ Anybody know ? HMMMMMM____

Interesting idea sonicus that would look so cool a bit like an Alembic Beatle bass. :-)

Wolf, I was thinking that as well... A double omega, no horns bass... That will look cool!
I like how one of a sudden, pictures are flooding this thread! It's on it way Austin!!! And it is going to be jaw-dropping, that's for sure!
