Just purchased this wonderful Essence, and hope you can tell me more about it.

Oh well, after trying to adjust this bass I discovered that the neck is warped. I am sending it back to the seller. Maybe next time

My luthier looked at it, and was able to adjust it to my liking--the neck is fine, I am just an idiot I have never been happier to feel dumb.

Hi Todd; congrats on the Essence, congrats on getting the neck worked out, and welcome to the club!!
While you are waiting for the next batch of serial number lookups, you might want to peruse our FAQ and Must Reads sections. For instance, there is an excellent post about setting up the neck
here
.
Enjoy!

Dave, thanks for that resource, it is almost the exact hour and a half lesson I got from Mark Tenorio when I took the bass to him.
If anyone needs help in Denver with a setup I highly recommend him.
