Well 72-17 is shaped just like mine. A small standard. It does not have the trapezoidal pickups, but the electronics are the same as mine and number 15. No filters, but powered electronics. The woods in the bass were darkish I remember, but I am not sure what they were now. I remember it being a long scale and it may have been a baritone.
When I saw the guitar it was for sale at a vintage guitar show in Dallas, Tx. The guitar did not reside in Tx, but was with a vendor's booth from Ohio. The person selling it also confirmed that it was once Jack's so I guess it's possible. He also stated that the top wood used on the guitar was found as a piece of driftwood from the San Fransisco bay. I doubt it, but you never know. That's all I remember. I should have taken pictures!!
