Hi! I'm looking for a build report/history on 98W11812 Epic.I just bought it recently in virtually new condition.The truss cover has Special Edition #13 of 60 engraved on it. I wonder what that's all about? My first Alembic and i'm lovin' it. Thank's for any info.

Hi Larry, welcome to the Club and congrats on your first Alembic - may you enjoy it for many years to come!

This is one of a special run they did for Guitar Center. IIRC they usually come with a nice maple top, oval inlays and a brass engraved trussrod cover.

Adriaan,Thank you for the welcome and the info.You're absolutely right about the flame maple top.It appears to have a purpleheart accent,another layer of maple,then the mahogany body.Oval inlay's are nicely tapered into the frets.I saw the pictures of your two bass,s and they are beautiful! Guitar Center ordered 60 basses for their anniversary model. The items marked with an asterisk (*) are upgrades to the standard Epics offered at the time. Adriaan is correct, as usual.

It was registered in 1998 to an owner in Georgia.
