Help to find the serial number!

I own this bass originally made For Daniel tracey (dannobasso)
 
It'a 5 strings Exel bass made i believe in 2002 base on this thread; http://club.alembic.com/Images/631/1001.html?1025583268
 
The bass is Stain black with two fatboy pickups and filter q switch.
 
I bought it from A forum member Ellery (Lowlife) last year.  
 
I can't get the serial because of the fret Fx switch under the Headstock. None in the electrical hole.
 
I'll enjoy having the serial and every details concerning this beauty. Your help will be appreciatted

Eric, The serial number may be stamped within the cavity as in the example I've included (sometimes around the cavity perimeter).  
If you find it there I will add it to the title. Art

HI,    I open the cavity but nothing's in there, I took pictures to show you. I know it's not a common thing to reveal the serial of a bass, but i'm afraid i'll never have it if your not helping me. I joined the picture of the headstock to show the fret Fx switch. i dont want to take it off cause i dont want to damage anything.  Eric

It may be under the Fret FX controller on the back of the headstock...
 
Note the serial number on the back of the headstock of this set neck - sixth picture down - right where your Fret FX controller is located.

For sure it's behind the fret Fx switch but i cant get it without taking it off. I'm afraid to damage someting if i do so. I did contact Danno for this and he dont remember ( this is what happen when you got to much of it ;-p  ) So my only option is to request it here and maybe someone will help me out.

Eric,
The battery pack will come off with a little acetone, you could always put it back on with 2 sided tape, hot melt glue or something else of a temporary nature.

You do think that Acetone will not affect Varnish lacquer !

According to Mica it shouldn't.  Maybe she will chime in here to confirm that. I believe that it is the standard way to remove the Fret-FX array.
I know she has posted on here about removing them before. My skills with search function here are limited.

Confirmed, according to Mica acetone is safe on a polyester finish.  Knowing which this bass is Mica will try and locate the serial number so that I may add it here.  You'll may have the Fret FX controller off and back on by then.

Eric, I'm going to take a shot here and say that the number 13003 in the p/u rout, is the serial #. Check the link in your first post. That would seem to fit for early 2003. Though that would make it, 03X13006. Does anyone know if the birthdate is from the start of construction, or, is it for finished product? The truth will be in removing the battery pack.  Good luck

I seem to recall reading here that the number in the p/up route is a work order number or some such, which assigned much earlier than the S/N & bears no relationship to it.

Does'nt seem to be the right one. If i remeber Ellery had 2 Excel bass when i bought mine.
